課程概述 |
This course will aim itself at introducing the literary features of British modernism. Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest will be studied for its epoch-making departure from the preceding Victorian period and its heralding the modern era. Then, considering the limited time given and thus long narratives for which modern British literature is celebrated must be shelved, the course will be concerned with the close study and discussion of a series of modern poets, beginning with Thomas Hardy and ending with T. S. Eliot or onwards.
